Mohamed Abdelghafar


Mohamed Abdelghafar is an Associate at lecocqassociate’s Dubai Office. Mohamed obtained his Bachelors of Law from Cairo University, Egypt in 2008 and was admitted to the Egyptian Bar Association in 2014 to practice law in Egypt.

Prior to joining lecocqassociate (DIFC) Ltd., Mohamed worked as a senior associate in the litigation department of Horizons & Co. Law Firm where he handled various disputes resolution cases in relation to construction, subcontracting, real estate, commercial, civil and labour cases. Mohamed regularly provided bespoke legal advices on local laws and regulations in the UAE and in relation to pre-litigation. He also handled matters in relation to ratification and enforcement of awards before the local courts which have been rendered by DIAC and DIFC court, in cooperation with leading international law firms. Mohamed is experienced in filing cases and applications to the local courts in addition to drafting several memorandums and collecting documentary evidences necessary for daily court hearings. Mohamed also worked as an IP lawyer in Tala Abu Ghazala’s Egypt office, one of the leading firms in registration of Trademarks, examination of Patents and protection of copy rights.

At lecocqassociate Mohamed assists clients with structuring and incorporation of financial and non-financial institutions aiming to establish their presence in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the drafting of corporate and commercial documentation.
