What does your role entail at lecocqassociate?

As a paralegal, I’m mostly in charge of doing paper work and the ground work for important legal matters. This includes some legal research, memorandums and sometimes participating in current legal acts. I’m here to learn what it means to be a lawyer!

Tell us about your academic and professional background.

My journey in law has only just started this year. I enrolled to the Bachelor degree in law at the University of Geneva in 2022 and I am looking forward to continue my studies in this discipline.

Prior to moving to Switzerland, I have done a big part of my studies in Russia, with the aim of going to a Swiss University, but I found that I had to have my Maturity degree. So as a workaround, I went to a high school in Geneva in order to achieve my goal of attending the University of Geneva.

Other than that, I have always worked along my studies. I have5 years of experience in working at a restaurant which gave me the opportunity to enter the professional world and participate in different kind of events, like Montreux Jazz festival and many others. I am yet to gain more professional experience in the legal field - for instance at lecocqassociate!

What do you consider to be your biggest professional achievement?

For the moment, I would say that I am now working at lecocqassociate! The best thing for me is that I am able to learn from my job and apply what I learn from my studies.

What is the most impactful thing you have done?

Honestly, I don’t think I have done anything big yet, but I try to do something good every day. I think that trying to be a good person is already an impactful thing.

How many languages do you speak?

I speak French, English and Russian fluently. I’m also able to have a conversation in Spanish and Italian, but there is still lots of room for improvement!

What drives you?

It’ll be banal, but I’d say doing something I like drives me. It doesn’t only apply to the job, but to other activities in general. For instance, I love snowboarding, and if I spend just a few days sliding, I feel like I can move mountains!

Business aside, what do you enjoy doing when you are not in the office?

Ouf, a lot of things! Going out with my friends and family, snowboarding, dancing and especially travelling! I enjoy going to bed and feeling like my day was productive!

What is your secret talent?

It’s not really a secret, but I can do the Russian folkdance, almost on a professional level :) I was part of a dance crew for 13years back when I used to live in Russia, so it’s hard to forget the moves after that!
