What does your role entail at lecocqassociate ?

I strive to assist and support clients in their business endeavours, be it simply contractual or IP related matters.

Tell us about your academic and professional background.

I would not say I have a traditional lawyer’s background as I started studying sciences before enrolling and spending a year in the Ecole Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne in 2014. However, my interest for debating and writing pushed me to change course and start law school in Lausanne. The two first years of my Bachelor were spent at the University of Lausanne and the third at the University of Zürich after which I obtained my Bachelor of Law in 2018.

After a year and a half break to fulfill my military duties, I enrolled back in the University of Lausanne where I obtained my Master of Law with a specialization in commercial law and litigation in 2021. During this time, I also worked for a Swiss multinational in Lausanne as a legal intern.

I then obtained a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Legal Professions from the University of Geneva in 2022.

This last Certificate allowed me to complete an eighteen-month traineeship in a law firm in Geneva where I strengthened my knowledge in commercial law, labour law and more generally litigation. I also discovered a keen interest for IP law, namely related to new technologies.

All these experiences allowed me to pass the Geneva bar in June 2024.

What do you consider to be your biggest professional achievement ?

Sadly, due to the duration of my internship, I could not see a case to its end. However, I took part in a high-stake contractual litigation regarding investing advice and in a vast asset recovery proceeding.  I intend to achieve even more now at lecocqassociate !

What is the most impactful thing you have done ?

It is difficult to say, this early in my career, what is the most impactful thing I did. Nonetheless, I strive for my work to have the greatest effect possible.

How many languages do you speak ?

I am fluent in French and English, I can hold a conversation in German.

What drives you ?

My curiosity pushes me to learn more everyday in my favoured fields. My desire to see clients reach their objectives also drives me to deliver the highest quality work possible.

Business aside, what do you enjoy doing when you are not in the office ?

I enjoy reading and playing video games, as for more physically demanding activities I love skiing, alpine as well as cross-country, and martial arts !

What is your secret talent ?

I have my own secret recipe for cheese fondue.
