What does your role entail at lecocqassociate ?

I specialize in banking law, corporate finance law, and corporate law, providing expert legal guidance on financial regulations, corporate transactions, and governance structures. My expertise enables me to navigate complex legal frameworks, ensuring compliance and strategic support for financial institutions and corporations.

Tell us about your academic and professional background.

I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Law from the University of Geneva, along with a Certificate in Transnational Law and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Legal Professions.

I began my career as a Compliance and Regulatory Officer at a Swiss bank in Zurich before completing my legal traineeship at a Geneva-based law firm, where I focused on criminal and corporate law.

After passing the bar exam, I co-founded a football player management company while also working at a Big Four firm, gaining extensive experience in contractual and banking law.

In October 2024, I joined lecocqassociate.

What do you consider to be your biggest professional achievement ?

When reflecting on my professional journey, I prefer to focus on the future rather than solely on past achievements. While accomplishments shape who we are, I am driven by the impact I can create moving forward.

One of my long-term aspirations is to establish a sports and academic school in Africa. This vision stems from my deep belief in the transformative power of combining sports and education. By integrating both disciplines, I aim to provide young people with a well-rounded foundation that equips them with the skills, discipline, and knowledge needed to succeed in life. My goal is to create an environment that fosters personal growth, opportunity, and empowerment, enabling the next generation to reach their full potential.

This forward-thinking mindset continues to shape my professional approach, guiding my efforts toward meaningful and lasting impact.

What is the most impactful thing you have done throughout your career?

One of the most significant and impactful achievements in my career was playing a key role in the merger of two major Swiss banks. My responsibilities centered on managing securities contracts, ensuring that all financial obligations and legal frameworks were seamlessly integrated.

This involved carefully reviewing, negotiating, and aligning contractual agreements to guarantee full regulatory compliance and minimize operational risks during the transition. By facilitating a smooth and efficient merger process, I contributed to the successful unification of the two entities, helping to strengthen their financial position and long-term strategic alignment.

This experience not only deepened my expertise in financial compliance and contract management but also reinforced my ability to navigate complex corporate transactions with precision and strategic foresight.

I am fluent in French, English, Portuguese, Spanish and proficient in German and Italian.

What drives you ?

What drives me is a deep commitment to continuous growth and improvement—striving each day to be better than I was yesterday. This pursuit is not just about personal fulfillment but also about making a meaningful contribution to the world, however small, by creating positive impact in everything I do.

As a lawyer, this means delivering increasingly insightful, strategic, and effective guidance to our clients. My goal is to empower them to navigate complex legal challenges with confidence, helping them make informed decisions and achieve their objectives.

Business aside, what do you enjoy doing when you are not in the office ?

I have a strong passion for history and geopolitics, as I enjoy exploring how past events and global dynamics shape the world we live in today. Additionally, I am a dedicated sports enthusiast, appreciating both the physical and strategic aspects of athletic competition.
