What does your role entail at lecocqassociate?
I am responsible for managing projects involving technologies within the firm such as Online Reputation Management, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Marketing initiatives.
Tell us about your academic and professional background.
I am graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Letters in 2012 from the Central University of Venezuela in Caracas. My first job after getting my degree was as a ghostwriter in an Online Reputation Management company. Then, my interest in helping improve other peoples image grew which lead me to learn SEO and Digital Marketing strategy. With years of hard work and happy clients, I got promoted to a managerial position and managed a team of 15 people.
I later continued my studies in Mexico where I obtained a Masters in Digital Business. I then worked in Mexico City at a Strategic Marketing Consulting company. Most of our clients were media celebrities and transnational corporations. I joined lecocqassociate in May 2021.
What do you consider to be your most significant professional achievement?
I helped a beauty celebrity remove several photos of her that were shot and posted online without her consent. These actions were critical because she was about to compete in an international beauty pageant. If the indecent pictures had reached the public, and had grown into a scandal, the organisation would have disqualified her. As a result of my online reputation management efforts, her flourishing professional career stands as of today.
For me, managing peoples reputation is a way to help solve unfair and detrimental situations.
What is the most impactful thing you have done?
I have helped small and big companies improve their reputation as well as worked with CEOs and a vast list of business executives to help them regain their online image after being marked by defamatory cases. However, the most impactful thing I have done was taking care of my daughter.
A few months after she was born, we moved to the United Arab Emirates. Consequently, we didn’t have any help in this new country. So I decided to slow the pace of my career and become the primary caregiver. It was a challenge at the beginning, but it was worth it. Men should not be scared of being stay-at-home dads.
How many languages do you speak?
I speak English and Spanish. I can understand basic Portuguese.
What drives you?
I love working in a team, understand each other’s perspectives and bringing a joint solution to the table.
Business aside, what do you enjoy doing when you are not in the office?
Travel. The only continent that I haven’t visited is Antarctica. I also enjoy playing a lot of “silly” games with my daughter and having romantic dinners with my wife.
What is your secret talent?
I am an expert at planning holidays and making a sick travel itinerary – on a tight budget. I know there is always a cheaper option for your bookings. I am also really good at Mario Kart; some of my friends have never beat me – and never will.
