What are your areas of specialty?

As a fresh graduate, I’m still exploring the wide array of options of the legal industry; however, I am swaying more towards the corporate and financial aspects.

What kind of matters do you enjoy the most?

I enjoy conducting legal research on matters in different jurisdictions, exposing me to a wider range of legal systems, principles, and perspectives from around the world. It allows me to delve into diverse legal frameworks, analyse landmark cases, and understand the approaches taken by various jurisdictions to address complex legal issues.

How many languages do you speak?

I’m fluent in English and Arabic.

What is the most impactful work you have done throughout your career?

It’s still early on in my career; however, I would say that the most impactful thing I’ve done was give a presentation on mental health to my co-workers during my last internship. I’m a strong advocate for mental health, especially when it comes to having a healthy work-life balance and being mindful of your emotions. I would like to think that everyone took something from that presentation and applied it to their life.

Tell us about your academic and professional background.

I am a fresh graduate in LLB Honours Law and am currently studying part-time for my Solicitor Qualification Exam. I got my first taste of corporate law when I was fortunate enough to intern at lecocqassociate, while I was still pursuing my degree. I also did an internship after I graduated, where I worked with the in-house council of an international company in the packaging industry, where I was mentored by highly experienced lawyers, who helped me jump-start my career… and now I’m back :)

What made you want to be a solicitor/lawyer?

Coming from a family of lawyers, one might assume that I’ve always had a passion for law. Sadly, this wasn’t the case. While I respected my family and their profession a great deal, I left myself open to possibilities and stayed curious. As fate would have it, after a year of studying psychology, I found myself drawn towards the ideals of justice. Soon, this seed of interest blossomed into a passion; and now, I couldn’t be any more excited to start making a difference.

Business aside, what do you enjoy doing when you are not in the office?

When I’m not watching trash TV, I’m either curled up with a book, or spending my time exploring the hidden treasures of Dubai.

What is your secret talent?

I can finish an entire book in one sitting, if it’s interesting enough though!
